Place Holder
This exhibition plays with the usually understood definitions of ‘placeholder’ through a selection of artworks from The Suter’s collection referencing our place, the Nelson /Tasman region. Artists such as John Gully, Toss Woollaston and Irvine Major with their distinctive approaches to depicting this region, can become the lens through which we begin to see and appreciate features of our environment, and become the place holders in our minds’ eyes.
