New Zealand Youth Symphonic Winds is Aotearoa’s premier youth concert band and is an integral part of NZCBA’s National Bands Programme which aims to promote music-making across the country. Since it’s inception in 2012, NZYSW has been the national representative ensemble for young concert band players to develop their music skills and education, bringing together the best secondary school wind, brass, and percussion players in the ultimate show of musical engagement and collaboration.
Winter Intensive Overview: Our Winter Intensive for the New Zealand Youth Symphonic Winds will be held in Nelson from 15-19 July. During this 4-day workshop, our talented young musicians will participate in intensive rehearsals and masterclasses, culminating in two concerts to celebrate their hard work and dedication.
