Our Mina Ardnt Education Room offers a stunning view of the Queen's Gardens and the outdoor Sculpture Walk, providing the perfect backdrop for your child's artistic exploration. And with classes that change every term, there is always something new and exciting to discover!

Our experienced instructors will guide your child through a range of engaging activities and projects, helping them to develop their creativity and imagination while also learning about different art techniques and styles. From painting and drawing to sculpture and mixed media, we offer a variety of workshops to suit every child's interests and abilities.

Upcoming Classes - October 2024

Touch the Earth: 
Get tactile with finger painting and other ways to apply natural coloured pigment to create flowing abstract images, inspired by the beautiful artwork of Raukura Turei.

Fantastic Lands:
Have fun populating fantasy landscapes with characters you invent, inspired by the imaginative artwork of Bill Hammond.

Something to Hold:
Use air dry clay to create a container to hold your treasures. Make some treasures while you are at it! This is inspired by the exhibition Hineukurangi showcasing Māori clay artists.

  • Each workshop we offer is a separate class, so it's important to arrange for a responsible adult to drop off and pick up the children at the beginning and end of each session. Thank you for your understanding!

  • Class fees must be paid to secure a place for the term.

  • Classes will not run unless a minimum number of enrolments is met.
